Cuento (Spanish word for Tale) was inspired by Julio Cortázar’s fantastic tale “La Noche Boca Arriba”.

Program Notes

Cuento was inspired byLa nochebocaarriba (The night turned upside down), a tale published in 1956 by Argentine writer Julio Cortazar, which revolves around the idea of parallel realities – a fascinating concept which I would explore further in my string quartet, Sans Ralentir.
