Bruno Lo Bianco, Oscar Albrieu Roca, and their Tambor Fantasma take They Whisper in Your Ear to the Cervantino International Festival in Guanajuato, Mexico.

Discover the mystery of the beyond with The Book of Bones, a sonic performance by the percussion ensemble Tambor Fantasma.
This project explores the sonic universe of bones in relation to death, featuring works by composers such as Giacinto Scelsi, Yoshihisa Taira, and Alyssa Weinberg. Since Camille Saint-Saëns evoked the sound of bones in 1874, percussion has enriched the imagery of death. The Book of Bones offers an abstract interpretation, beginning with an imaginary funeral through Scelsi’s work, followed by Weinberg’s Table Talk.
The program continues with Phobia by Hugo Morales Murguía, which employs donkey jaws as instruments, and They Whisper in Your Ear by Martín Gendelman, which evokes the memory of the dead. Tambor Fantasma invites us on a unique sonic journey, where percussion converses with death and mystery.
